Charlie The Cat Thinks…

Oh my, I don’t think I will do much fishing at Snook’s Bottom in the next weeks. Cal and I wandered around that lake to find that the Colorado River had managed to sort of overflow into those clean waters. The poor pair of geese that had nested on the island in the center lost their nest and I would guess, their eggs too.
Well, we’ll find other things to do. Art camp might be fun. I think I read (yes, cats can read) that it will be open the whole month of June. That ought to be fun.
Then those Thursday free concerts begin. Those bands are fun to listen to although Cal embarrasses me when he decided to dance. He always trips when he tries to spin around. I guess his tail gets in the way.
JUCO is finished. Darn, I was hoping Shelton might win. I sort of always pull for the underdog. Maybe next year they will come back and who knows. That Grayson County pitcher was a wonder with those 11 strikeouts and no walks. Cal and I will have to get over to Little Salt Wash and watch the Little League games more often.
I’ve been looking through my official guest book. Did you know there are some signatures in it written by people from all over, Missouri, Arkansas and even New Zealand? I love to read all their notes but my favorite is probably Ethan’s drawing of me as I eat, climb to my basket, get in and curl up. He’s quite the artist. There are several other good artists who drew for me too. Speaking of that, I hope I reminded Cal to sign up for one of the art camps through the recreation department. I am not sure if he and I should take a class together, but this could be interesting.
I am not a good swimmer since cats usually don’t like water that much, but it might be a good idea to take some basic swim classes just in case.
