Charlie The Cat Thinks…

You know there’s always been one thing that I’ve wondered about: can you crack an egg on a hot sidewalk and cook it? I have yet to try it or have yet to see people try it. With this blistering heat we’ve been having I would imagine that you could.
Mother Nature sure knows how to turn up the heat. It will be nice and toasty for all of those folks out at Country Jam. I’m expecting to see a lot of sunburns. That is one benefit about being a cat; our fur keeps us from getting burned. Although sometimes I wish I could shake off this coat, but that would look really weird. And, I wouldn’t exactly look cute in a bikini top as so many of those country jam gals will be wearing. Don’t they know about skin cancer?
Speaking of Country Jam, is anyone heading out there? It’s going to be four days of music, food, and fun! I went last year and had a pretty good time. You just have to watch where you are going. That isn’t really a place for kids. But if you’re brave like me and don’t mind a little heat and music, it sure is fun. I’m going to have to dust off my boots soon so I can go dance. I don’t think I will go out today on the first day of it but expect to see me out there when Tim McGraw sings.
With it being as hot as it is lately, not many people have come in to see me. This heat is keeping everyone indoors. I understand, however. My outside adventures are usually just in the morning. Of course you have to watch out for the mosquitoes. They came out of nowhere recently and now seem to be everywhere. That’s where I wish that cats would be different from humans and not get bit but we get eaten alive all the same. Cal told me that a couple summers ago he knew a guy who got plumb carried off by mosquitoes. Sounds a little crazy but it almost happened to me the other day.
Well folks until next time, stay hydrated and keep putting on that bug spray!
